Niu Mingjun, Chairman of Zhengzhou Guoyan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., has been deeply engaged in research within the field of environmental engineering. During his time at Zhengzhou University, he published numerous academic papers. In 2013, commissioned by investors, Niu Mingjun embarked on designing a groundbreaking sludge treatment solution—tackling one of the world's most challenging issues in the sludge management industry. He led his team to meticulously gather data, conduct thorough research, and work tirelessly through late nights and weekends to carry out extensive experiments over several years. In 2016, Niu Mingjun independently raised funds to establish Zhengzhou Guoyan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., where he spearheaded the company’s mission to develop cutting-edge technologies. The company successfully pioneered the "Sludge Activation & Cell-Wall Breaking Technology + Mechanical Pressure Filtration for Deep Dewatering" process, effectively resolving the longstanding technical hurdle of substandard sludge treatment and disposal at wastewater treatment plants. Today, the company’s innovative solutions are already operational across multiple provinces and cities, including Henan, Hebei, Beijing, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Guizhou, and Shandong, earning unanimous praise from its collaborative partners. In 2019, the company secured its first round of financing, enabling it to leverage high-quality resources and accelerating its rapid growth trajectory.
Zhengzhou Guoyan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has independently developed the Integrated Sludge Deep Dewatering System, which provides a one-stop solution for sludge reduction, stabilization, and harmless treatment. This system can directly process sludge generated within wastewater treatment plants, reducing sludge with a moisture content of 96%-98% to below 60% through advanced dewatering technology. At the same time, it efficiently eliminates odors and effectively kills harmful bacteria, ensuring complete harmless treatment. The deeply dewatered sludge can then be comprehensively managed through various methods tailored to local conditions, including landfilling, land utilization, incineration, composting, or even incorporation into building materials. In 2019, the "Integrated Sludge Deep Dewatering System Technology and Complete Equipment" was listed as an advanced and applicable technology in the first batch of pilot projects under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment’s initiative to build "Zero-Waste Cities."
Although Zhengzhou Guoyan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has only been established for a short five years, it has already earned numerous prestigious accolades, including National High-Tech Enterprise status, recognition as a National Science and Technology-based SME, a spot among Henan Province’s leading science-and-tech SMEs, membership as Vice President Unit of the Henan Provincial Environmental Protection Federation, inclusion in Zhengzhou City’s list of science-and-tech SMEs, designation as an AAA-rated Quality Service Integrity Unit, and selection as an AAA-rated Contract-Abiding and Credit-Worthy Enterprise. In 2019, the company triumphed as the champion of the Henan regional finals in the "Innovator China" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Chairman Niu Mingjun was also honored by the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government as a "Critical Entrepreneurial Talent" under the Zhuihui Zhengzhou·1125 Talent Attraction Program.
